About the Role

Spencer Clarke Group is delighted to be working with a "Good" graded primary school in the Leyland area that is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Year 1 Class Teacher to start as soon as possible.

This is a full-time role for the remainder of the academic year, providing the opportunity to join a welcoming and forward-thinking school community. The school has a warm, inclusive atmosphere and a strong focus on developing confident, creative, and independent learners.

This role would suit a dedicated teacher with experience in Key Stage 1 who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils of all abilities to reach their full potential.

Role and Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

• Create a positive and stimulating learning environment where pupils feel valued, supported, and motivated.

• Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND.

• Assess and record pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to children, parents, and colleagues.

• Develop and implement strategies to support children's social, emotional, and academic growth.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and the SENCO to ensure every child receives the right level of support.

• Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and staff meetings.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.

• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.

• A nurturing and creative approach to learning.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Ability to work well within a supportive team.

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain).
