About the Role
Spencer Clarke Group is delighted to be working with a "Good" graded primary school in the Leyland area that is seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic Year 1 Class Teacher to start as soon as possible.
This is a full-time role for the remainder of the academic year, providing the opportunity to join a welcoming and forward-thinking school community. The school has a warm, inclusive atmosphere and a strong focus on developing confident, creative, and independent learners.
This role would suit a dedicated teacher with experience in Key Stage 1 who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils of all abilities to reach their full potential.
Role and Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
Create a positive and stimulating learning environment where pupils feel valued, supported, and motivated.
Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including pupils with SEND.
Assess and record pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to children, parents, and colleagues.
Develop and implement strategies to support children's social, emotional, and academic growth.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and the SENCO to ensure every child receives the right level of support.
Participate in school events, professional development sessions, and staff meetings.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 1.
Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
A nurturing and creative approach to learning.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to work well within a supportive team.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain).
