Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential?
We're working with secondary schools across Blackpool and the Fylde coast who are seeking Learning Support Mentors to join their team and make a real difference to students' learning and wellbeing.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Mentor, you'll work closely with students who need extra support in and outside the classroom. Your focus will be to help them overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and develop strategies for success.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with additional learning needs
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to staff and parents
- Acting as a positive role model and encouraging students to reach their goals
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about education and young people
- Patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships
- Able to work collaboratively with staff and external professionals
- Experienced in supporting students with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs (desirable but not essential)
This role would suit someone from a background in education, youth work, psychology, or social care - or a graduate looking to gain valuable school-based experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
