Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Start Date: September 2025 (or as soon as possible)
About the Role
We are seeking committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our client, a supportive and inclusive secondary school.
The successful candidate will work both 1:1 and in small group settings to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence and reach their full potential.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people who benefit from tailored support within the classroom.
Main Responsibilities
- Providing individual support for pupils with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs
- Delivering small group interventions in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social skills
- Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Supporting the emotional wellbeing and progress of pupils
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
- Be calm, empathetic and resilient
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be patient, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or SEND support) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
