About the Role
We are seeking a confident and experienced Learning & Cognition Outreach Practitioner to deliver targeted programmes within school settings across Halifax.
This is a full-time, hands-on role suited to someone who understands school environments and can step straight into delivery with minimal supervision. You will work directly with students to support their cognitive development, learning behaviours, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured learning and cognition-focused programmes in primary and secondary schools
  • Support students in developing key cognitive and learning skills
  • Build strong, professional relationships with school staff and students
  • Adapt delivery to suit a range of learning needs and classroom environments
  • Ensure all sessions align with safeguarding standards and school protocols
  • Manage sessions independently and respond confidently to challenges


Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience working within a school setting
  • Strong understanding of learning, cognition, and student development
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and school-based protocols
  • Ability to "hit the ground running" with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, organised, and professional approach


Desirable Experience

  • Background in education, psychology, youth work, or a related field
  • Experience delivering outreach, interventions, or structured programmes
  • Understanding of additional learning needs (SEN) or behaviour support
