My client in Yorkshire are looking to appoint a talented Information Governance Officer on a Contract basis.
The successful candidate will coordinate and respond to o complex and often voluminous information requests, within legislatively prescribed timescales and investigating, risk assessing and assisting in providing best practice recommendations to Senior Management on all reported Data Security Incidents.
What's on offer:
- Salary: £20 per hour, Inside IR35
*negotiable based on experience

About the role:
Based in Yorkshire (Hybrid):
- Responsible for ensuring that all internal databases are maintained and updated
- To escalate any outstanding matters to Information Asset Owners
- To record and risk assess data security incidents considering all the different factors involved in the incident referring only high risk personal data breaches
- To provide advice and guidance to Incident Owners (Managers) assisting them in incident investigations and producing investigation reports
About you:
You will have the following experiences:
- Extensive experience in a similar role
- MUST have IG experience and knowledge of basics in relation to FOI/EIR/SARs and data security breaches
- Ability to work to strict deadlines prioritising workload accordingly
- Local Authority experience is essential
