My client in Greater London are looking to appoint a talented Information Governance Lead on a Contract basis.
The successful candidate will support the development, management, and delivery of the Council's Information Governance (IG) Strategy and associated work programmes, ensuring robust data processing practices and full compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.
What's on offer:
- Salary: £450 per day, Inside IR35
*negotiable based on experience

About the role:
Based in Greater London (Hybrid):
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the organisations Information Governance Strategy and annual work plans
- Ensure that all data processing activities comply with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements
- Lead and coordinate investigations into suspected or actual data breaches
- Ensure compliance with guidance, codes of practice, and recommendations issued by the ICO as Supervisory Authority
About you:
You will have the following experiences:
- Extensive experience in a similar role
- Detailed knowledge of UK information legislation, including DPA 2018, UK GDPR, FOI, EIR, and PECR
- Experience in information governance, data protection compliance, or regulatory assurance
- Local Authority experience is essential
