Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Income Officer for a Local Authority Client in Central London.
In this role you will manage housing income for sheltered housing residents, from early arrears prevention to legal recovery, while delivering a supportive, customer-focused service.
Duties:
- Manage housing income and rent accounts, focusing on early intervention and arrears prevention
- Respond to resident enquiries and provide clear, supportive income advice
- Initiate and manage legal recovery action, including court attendance where required
- Take payments over the phone and maintain accurate account records
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience in housing income, rent recovery, or a similar role
- Knowledge of housing legislation and arrears recovery processes
- Experience working with vulnerable or sheltered housing residents
- Strong customer service and communication skills
What's on offer:
Salary: £28ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
