Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Solutions Officer for a Local Authority Client in Nuneaton.
In this role, you will provide expert housing advice, prevent homelessness, and deliver tailored solutions to support residents in finding and sustaining homes.
Duties:
- Prevent homelessness by assessing customer needs and delivering practical, solution-focused housing advice.
- Manage housing applications, allocations, and temporary accommodation placements in line with legislation.
- Work in partnership with landlords, agencies, and internal teams to secure sustainable housing options.
- Maintain accurate case records, contribute to service improvements, and ensure compliance with statutory duties.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working in a housing, homelessness, or public sector service environment.
- Experience of direct customer contact, delivering advice and managing complex or sensitive cases.
- Experience of partnership or multi-agency working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing caseloads, prioritising workloads, and working to deadlines under pressure.
What's on offer:
Salary: £36ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
