Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Options Team Leader for a Local Authority Client in Redcar.
In this role, you will lead the Housing Advice & Information Team to prevent homelessness, ensure statutory duties are met, and deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service.
Duties:
- Supervise staff, monitor performance, and ensure effective service delivery.
- Drive homelessness prevention strategies, service plans, and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, and minority groups to meet housing needs.
- Oversee temporary accommodation, budgets, reporting, and ensure adherence to legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Significant experience and in-depth knowledge of homelessness legislation and statutory duties.
- Proven experience managing and developing a team effectively.
- Experience collaborating with internal departments, external agencies, and community organisations.
- Experience working with people with complex needs in a front-line or customer-facing environment.
What's on offer:
Salary: £30+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
