Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Options Officer for a Local Authority Client in Bracknell.
In this role, you will provide expert housing advice, assess homelessness applications, and work with residents and partners to prevent homelessness and secure sustainable housing solutions.
Duties:
- Assess and manage homelessness applications in line with the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
- Provide high-quality housing advice and create Personal Housing Plans to help prevent homelessness.
- Liaise and negotiate with landlords, agencies, and support services to secure suitable housing solutions.
- Maintain accurate case records and attend meetings or home visits to support residents effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working in housing advice, homelessness prevention, or a similar statutory housing role.
- Strong knowledge of the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
- Skilled in managing complex caseloads and communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficient in using housing management systems such as Abritas and maintaining accurate case records
What's on offer:
Salary: £28ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
