Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Options Officer for a Local Authority Client in Hertfordshire.
In this role, you will deliver effective housing solutions for residents on the Housing Register, provide expert advice, support, and assessments to individuals and families facing housing challenges.
Duties:
- Assess housing applications and eligibility for the Housing Register in line with legislation and local policies.
- Provide comprehensive housing options advice to applicants, including assessments of need, available resources, and practical solutions.
- Conduct interviews and home visits as necessary to gather information and support applicants.
- Respond to inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer service.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience in a housing-related role or similar environment.
- Knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and practices.
- Experience assessing housing applications, conducting interviews and home visits.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to empathize and connect with people.
What's on offer:
Salary: £25+ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
