Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Options Officer for a Local Authority Client in Berkshire.
In this role, you'll meet with residents facing housing problems, assess their options, provide advice, and help them find practical solutions to prevent homelessness.
Duties:
- Provide housing advice and assess homelessness applications in line with legislation
- Explore and secure housing options to prevent homelessness wherever possible
- Manage a personal caseload, maintaining accurate and timely case records
- Work with landlords, partners, and internal teams to resolve housing issues and disputes
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working in housing, homelessness prevention, or a related local authority service
- Proven ability to support customers in stressful or complex situations
- Experience managing cases and making informed decisions using housing legislation
- Experience working in partnership with landlords, agencies, or housing providers
What's on offer:
Salary: £23ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
