Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Options Officer for a Local Authority Client in Hertfordshire.
In this role, you will carry out outreach to rough sleepers and provide support in temporary accommodation, helping vulnerable individuals access and sustain housing.
Duties:
- Conduct outreach to rough sleepers and support them into suitable housing.
- Provide one-to-one support and develop personalised plans for residents in temporary accommodation.
- Liaise with partner agencies and Housing Options Officers to coordinate additional support services.
- Assist residents with financial management, benefit applications, and maintaining case records.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience supporting rough sleepers or vulnerable adults with complex needs.
- Knowledge of housing services and the factors contributing to homelessness.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and travel across the borough (car driver required).
What's on offer:
Salary: £20ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
