Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Options & Assessment Officer for a Local Authority Client in East London.
In this role you will carry out responsive home visits alongside a Social Worker to support households at risk of eviction, helping prevent homelessness and enable planned moves where necessary.
Duties:
- Carry out home visits to households at risk of eviction across the borough.
- Assess housing need and provide practical homelessness prevention advice.
- Work jointly with a Social Worker to support early intervention and planned moves.
- Maintain accurate case records and contribute to the Homewise pilot outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working in Housing Options or homelessness prevention services.
- Experience carrying out assessments and providing housing advice.
- Experience working directly with vulnerable households in the community.
- Experience managing cases and maintaining accurate records.
What's on offer:
Salary: £23ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
