Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Needs Officer for a Local Authority Client in Berkshire.
In this role, you will provide tailored housing advice, prevent homelessness, and work with partners to secure sustainable housing solutions for residents in need.
Duties:
- Provide clear housing advice and support to prevent homelessness.
- Assess housing needs and manage homelessness applications.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to secure sustainable housing solutions.
- Maintain accurate case records and deliver services in line with legislation and council standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience in housing advice, homelessness prevention, or tenancy relations.
- Track record of supporting vulnerable or diverse client groups in challenging situations.
- Casework experience, including accurate record-keeping and file management.
- Strong background in providing clear, accurate advice on housing, benefits, or related legislation.
What's on offer:
Salary: £28ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 12 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
