Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Income Manager for a Local Authority Client in Worcestershire.
In this role, you will lead and manage housing income and tenancy sustainment services to maximise rent collection, protect the Housing Revenue Account, and prevent homelessness through effective support, partnership working, and lawful enforcement.
Duties:
- Lead and manage housing income teams to maximise rent and charge collection.
- Support tenants to sustain their tenancies, using enforcement only as a last resort.
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation, policy, and performance targets.
- Drive service improvement, financial control, and partnership working across housing services.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Senior management experience within social housing or housing income services.
- Proven track record of rent collection, debt recovery, and HRA management.
- Strong experience leading teams, managing performance, and driving service improvement.
- In-depth knowledge of housing legislation, regulation, and tenancy sustainment practices.
What's on offer:
Salary: £35ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 4-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
