Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Coordinator for a Local Authority Client in East London.
In this role you will provide housing advice and homelessness prevention support, managing complex cases to help residents secure and sustain safe, suitable accommodation.
Duties:
- Provide housing advice, homelessness prevention, and statutory casework in line with housing legislation.
- Assess, manage, and progress homelessness applications accurately within agreed timescales.
- Work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies to secure and sustain accommodation.
- Conduct home visits, explain housing rights clearly, and support residents with complex needs.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience preventing homelessness and delivering housing advice in line with legislation
- Experience managing complex caseloads and making robust homelessness decisions
- Experience dealing with the public, including challenging or sensitive situations
- Experience working collaboratively with partners and agencies to achieve positive outcomes
What's on offer:
Salary: £28ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
