Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Allocations Officer for a Local Authority Client in Berkshire.

In this role, you will support residents by managing housing register applications, providing clear advice on the Choice Based Lettings system, and ensuring a fair housing allocations process.

Duties:

  • Check, input, and update Common Housing Register applications accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide clear, friendly advice on the Choice Based Lettings system and housing options via phone, email, and face-to-face contact.
  • Liaise with housing associations and internal teams to ensure smooth allocation and nomination processes.
  • Handle confidential information, update systems, and provide general administrative support to the Housing Allocations Team.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience working in a housing or customer service environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a wide range of people.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new software systems.
  • Understanding of housing allocations, lettings, or local government services.

What's on offer:

Salary: £17ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
