Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Advisor for a Local Authority Client in Southwest London.
In this role you will provide frontline housing advice and casework to prevent and relieve homelessness, supporting residents to secure safe and sustainable housing solutions.
Duties:
- Assess housing needs and develop personalised housing plans to prevent or relieve homelessness
- Manage a caseload of customers, providing advice, mediation and casework support
- Investigate homeless applications and recommend outcomes in line with legislation and guidance
- Work with partners, landlords and internal teams to secure appropriate housing options
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience delivering housing advice or homelessness casework in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment
- Experience working with vulnerable and diverse clients, managing complex and sensitive situations
- Experience using IT systems to manage caseloads, record casework and meet performance targets
- Experience negotiating with landlords, partners or agencies to achieve positive housing outcomes
What's on offer:
Salary: £30ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
