Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Advice Officer for a Local Authority Client in Hengoed.
In this role, you will provide expert housing advice, manage homelessness cases, and make legally compliant decisions under the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 in a local authority environment.
Duties:
- Provide housing advice and support to individuals and families at risk of homelessness.
- Make and record homelessness decisions in line with the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.
- Manage a varied caseload effectively using local authority case management systems.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to secure positive housing outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working within a Local Authority Homelessness team.
- Proven ability to make homelessness decisions under the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.
- Strong background in case management and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced, and office-based environment.
What's on offer:
Salary: £20ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
