Homelessness & Housing Solutions Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homelessness & Housing Solutions Officer for a Local Authority Client in Worcestershire.

In this role, you will provide a professional housing advice and practical solutions to prevent homelessness and help people find and sustain safe, suitable homes.

Duties:

• Provide professional, customer-focused homelessness and housing advice, resolving enquiries and referring complex cases when needed.
• Operate duty and triage services, including telephone and in-person support, and assist with temporary accommodation in emergencies.
• Support residents in joining and navigating the Home Choice system and accessing housing options.
• Collaborate with colleagues, partners, and landlords to improve services, deliver initiatives, and ensure compliance with housing legislation.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in homelessness prevention, housing advice, or a related customer-focused service.
• Experience providing high-quality advice to customers with complex needs and managing sensitive situations.
• Experience using housing or specialist IT systems, handling casework, and maintaining accurate records.
• Experience working collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and landlords to achieve positive outcomes.

What's on offer:

Salary: £19ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
