Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homeless & Housing Solutions Officer for a Local Authority Client in Worcestershire.
In this role, you will provide homelessness and housing advice, manage complex cases, and deliver sustainable solutions that prevent homelessness and support people into safe, suitable homes.
Duties:
- Manage complex homelessness and housing cases, providing expert, customer-focused advice and applying relevant legislation and guidance.
- Ensure applicants are placed into suitable temporary or permanent housing and develop sustainable housing solutions in partnership with landlords and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate case records, prepare detailed reports, and ensure all work complies with legal, financial, and safeguarding requirements.
- Work closely with colleagues, partners, and agencies to improve services, share best practice, and contribute to team and Council objectives.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in homelessness, housing options, or related advice services.
- Proven experience applying housing and homelessness legislation, regulations, and case law to complex cases.
- Experience resolving complex issues through collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and landlords.
- Experience preparing detailed reports, managing caseloads, and contributing to service development or improvement projects.
What's on offer:
Salary: £30
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
