Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Primary School

Pay: £120 per day

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Leyland who are seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled HLTA who is confident delivering pre-planned lessons, supporting pupil progress and working collaboratively across the primary phase.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide whole-class cover when required.

  • Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on school needs.

  • Lead targeted interventions to support pupil progress.

  • Provide support for pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND.

  • Work closely with teachers and senior leaders to maintain high standards of learning and behaviour.

  • Assist with planning, preparation and classroom organisation where needed.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or relevant experience working at HLTA level.

  • Previous experience within a primary school setting.

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • Flexible, proactive and team-focused approach.
