Interim Fire Safety Manager
Location: North West - Hybrid
Rate: Circa £400 per day
Contract: 6 months (with potential extension)
Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Manager to join our client, a local authority in the North West, on an interim basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all council-owned housing stock and associated assets comply with fire safety legislation, guidance, and best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on fire safety management across the housing and property portfolio, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of fire safety policies, strategies, and risk assessments.
- Provide specialist fire safety advice to colleagues, senior management, and external partners.
- Manage fire risk assessments, action plans, and ensure remedial works are completed within agreed timescales.
- Work closely with building safety, compliance, housing, and asset management teams to ensure a joined-up approach.
About You
- Proven experience in fire safety management within housing, property, or public sector environments.
- In-depth knowledge of fire safety legislation, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Relevant professional fire safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Fire, IFE, or equivalent).
- Experience of leading fire risk assessment programmes and embedding compliance processes.
- Social Housing experience and expertise on HRB's essential
