About Us
Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting a compassionate and dedicated EYFS SEN Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wallasey. This role focuses on providing personalised support to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with special educational needs (SEN), helping them thrive both academically and socially.
The Role
As an EYFS SEN Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with SEN across the EYFS setting. Working closely with children one-to-one, in small groups, and alongside the wider EYFS team, you will help to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering tailored support to children with SEN in EYFS.
Assisting in the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and adapted activities.
Encouraging social, emotional, and communication skill development.
Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and outside professionals.
Preparing resources that meet specific learning needs.
Monitoring progress and providing feedback to staff and parents.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working in EYFS, ideally supporting children with SEN.
Understands the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
Brings a patient, empathetic, and flexible approach.
Possesses strong communication and organisational skills.
Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning) - desirable but not essential.
