Estates Surveyor
Location: South East England
Rate: £450 Per day
Contract: 6 - Months
Working Pattern: Hybrid, 1 day per week on site
Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for an interim Estates Surveyor to manage a portfolio of operational assets, including properties occupied by community organisations. This role will suit a qualified surveyor who is comfortable operating in a busy public sector environment, balancing valuation work with stakeholder management and negotiation.
The post holder will also lead on negotiating wayleaves and leases for telecommunications and utility installations, and will be expected to evidence recent, hands-on experience of rental valuations.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of operational assets and community-occupied properties
- Negotiating leases and wayleaves for telecoms and utilities installations
- Carrying out rental valuations and supporting rental negotiations
- Handling complex tenancy issues and leading negotiations to resolution
- Producing clear written reports and responding to stakeholder enquiries
- Supporting consultation activity and managing competing stakeholder interests
- Undertaking property inspections On site (average 1 day per week)
About you:
- RICS qualified surveyor (or able to evidence equivalent relevant experience)
- Strong landlord and tenant / lease negotiation background
- Recent rental valuation experience
- Confident stakeholder management, consultation, and written reporting skills
