Job Title: Disrepair Surveyor
Contract: 3-months minimum
Location: Bristol, Hybrid
Pay Rate: £298 per day
Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to join our Local Authority clients Housing Repairs and Maintenance service. This role focuses on the investigation, management and resolution of housing disrepair claims, working closely with legal services to achieve timely, proportionate and cost effective outcomes.
You will take full ownership of disrepair cases from initial inspection through to completion of remedial works, ensuring high quality delivery, strong customer communication and compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
You will manage housing condition claims that have entered the legal or formal complaints process. You will inspect properties, diagnose defects, specify works, oversee contractors and provide technical reports and witness statements as required. The role combines technical surveying expertise with strong case management and customer engagement.
About You
* Proven experience managing housing disrepair cases within a social housing environment
* Strong knowledge of building pathology and residential repairs
* Experience working with legal teams on housing condition claims
* Confident producing technical reports and acting as a professional witness
* Customer focused with the ability to manage sensitive and complex cases
* Able to manage your own diary, inspections and workload effectively
