Are you an experienced and passionate leader looking to take the next step in your residential childcare career?
A brand-new children's home based in Preston is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to help establish and lead this exciting new service.
About the Role:
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure high standards of care and compliance across the home. You'll support daily operations, lead and motivate the residential team, and promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Registered Manager with all aspects of home management and Ofsted requirements.
- Supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
- Ensuring care plans are implemented and outcomes achieved for each young person.
- Managing rotas, record-keeping, and safeguarding procedures.
- Promoting a positive, child-centred culture throughout the home.
About You:
You will be a proactive and compassionate leader with:
- Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People / Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Experience within a children's residential setting (EBD, LD, or similar).
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for making a positive difference in young people's lives.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards it) would be an advantage.
