Interim Delivery and Compliance Manager
Location: West Midlands - Hybrid
Day Rate: £500
Contract: Until at least April 2026
Our client is seeking an experienced Delivery and Compliance Manager to lead a high performing team within a large social housing asset management service. This role oversees statutory compliance, major investment programmes, climate related projects and the client-side management of a partnering contractor. It is a senior operational leadership position, central to ensuring that tenants receive a safe, compliant and high-quality repairs, maintenance and improvement service.
You will be responsible for the strategic delivery of improvement and modernisation programmes, the development of asset strategies, and the assurance of value for money across a substantial housing portfolio. You will also manage statutory compliance functions including gas servicing, fire safety and asbestos.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and motivate technical and compliance teams responsible for statutory compliance and major investment delivery.
- Manage the client function to ensure maximum value for money, effective operational delivery and continuous service improvement.
- Oversee the delivery of major programmes including modernisation, carbon reduction and wider capital works across the housing stock.
- Support the development of asset strategies and ensure investment decisions are based on accurate data and robust option appraisals.
- Ensure statutory compliance requirements are met across all housing assets including gas, fire safety, asbestos and other regulated areas.
About You
- Strong background in asset management, compliance or capital programme delivery within housing or a related technical environment.
- Proven experience managing significant budgets and complex operational services.
- Strong understanding of building technology, maintenance legislation, CDM regulations and statutory compliance.
- Confident leader with experience managing teams and driving service improvement.
- Relevant professional qualification and evidence of continued professional development.
