Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Customer Service Manager - Out of Hours for a Local Authority Client in *East London. *

In this role, you will lead and inspire a dedicated team delivering vital out-of-hours and telecare services that keep vulnerable residents safe, connected, and supported around the clock.

Duties:

  • Lead and support the Out-of-Hours and Telecare team to deliver high-quality, responsive customer services.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring performance targets, compliance, and safeguarding standards are met.
  • Manage incidents, service disruptions, and escalations with calm and effective decision-making.
  • Drive service improvements and identify opportunities for innovation and income generation.

*Qualifications and Experience: *

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Proven experience managing Telecare, Out-of-Hours, or emergency response services.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills within a customer-focused environment.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience using contact centre systems and analysing performance data to drive improvement.

What's on offer:

Salary: £37ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
