Criminal Prosecutions Lawyer
Rate: £55-£65 per hour - Negotiable DOE
Contract Length: 3-6-month initial contract

Hybrid Working - 2-3 days office/court attendance
Spencer Clarke Group are currently supporting a Northwest local authority in the search for a practising Criminal Prosecutions Lawyer.
This is a varied and rewarding role providing high-quality legal advice and advocacy across a broad range of local authority litigation matters, with a particular focus on regulatory work, prosecutions, licensing and anti-social behaviour-related litigation.
The Role
- Provide professional, accurate and pragmatic legal advice across general litigation matters.
- Advise on and conduct local authority regulatory work, prosecutions and licensing cases.
- Prepare and conduct proceedings and appear as an advocate in the Magistrates' Court, County Court and other Courts and Tribunals.
About You
You will demonstrate:
- Qualification as a Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEx with a current practising certificate.
- Experience advising on local government matters, particularly prosecutions and licensing.
- Strong advocacy experience, including court representation and advising at committees.
