Corporate Complaints Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Corporate Complaints Officer for a Local Authority Client in Southwest London.

In this role, you will investigate and resolve complaints, provide expert guidance to colleagues, and help improve services to ensure a positive experience for residents.

Duties:

• Investigate and resolve complaints in line with council policies, including responding to Ombudsman enquiries.
• Support policy and service improvements by identifying trends, implementing recommendations, and monitoring outcomes.
• Provide guidance and training to colleagues, councillors, and stakeholders on complaints and information request procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure efficient, customer-focused service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Experience working in a customer service environment, managing and supporting multiple staff.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience delivering high-quality work under pressure and using Microsoft Office applications effectively.

What's on offer:

Salary: £24ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
