Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a committed and experienced Litigation Solicitor to join a Local Authority in the Yorkshire region.
This role is ideal for a litigation specialist (Civil/Criminal) looking to develop further within a supportive and fast-paced local government legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload in criminal and civil litigation, acting as a senior case holder and advocate.
- Coordinate casework and ensure compliance with legislation, statutory guidance, practice directions and court deadlines.
- Influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders, including Chief Executive-level officers, courts, tribunals, private practice solicitors and barristers.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEX with current practising certificate
- Understanding of relevant legislation, regulation and litigation practice
- Ability to analyse, interpret and present complex legal information effectively
