Children's - Residential Practitioner

We are currently seeking numerous Residential Support Workers, on behalf of one of our clients we work with in the Leeds Area, to join one of their Children's Residential Home's on a temporary basis.
In this role, you will join a committed team of residential staff, providing high-quality care and support tailored to the individual needs of children and young people within the home. You will help maintain a positive, nurturing environment and provide additional capacity to support the rota as required.
All staff play a key role in supporting the home's overarching aim: to encourage and enable children and young people to grow behaviourally, educationally, and emotionally, helping them build the skills and confidence needed to make positive contributions to their families, local communities, and wider society.
Key Responsibilities:
Support children and young people in residential care to feel safe, valued, and able to reach their full potential.
Nurture individual strengths, talents, and interests through positive relationships and shared daily routines.
Promote emotional, physical, and educational wellbeing, encouraging self-esteem and healthy friendships.
Create and maintain a safe, loving, and stimulating home environment.
Engage children in activities, celebrations, outings, and holidays that support learning and development.
Work in line with individual care plans and strategies, offering consistent guidance and support.
Collaborate with families and professionals to sustain positive connections and coordinated care.
Contribute to household tasks including cleaning, cooking, and general upkeep of the home.- Keep accurate records of activities and significant events.
Key Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Emotionally resilient and calm under pressure.
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins.
Committed to children's wellbeing and development.
Willing to complete training and maintain DBS clearance.- Driving licence desirable.
Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: £16.81
Working pattern - 37 hours per week.
