About the Role
We are seeking reliable and proactive Caretakers to support schools across the Bolton, Bury, Manchester city centre, Wythenshawe, Stockport and surrounding areas. This role is essential in ensuring that the school environment is safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of school buildings, grounds, and facilities

  • Setting up classrooms, halls, and meeting areas for school activities and events

  • Carrying out basic repairs, decorating, and general DIY tasks

  • Monitoring site security, including opening/closing the premises and ensuring the safety of all buildings

  • Supporting cleaning and waste management as required

  • Reporting and responding to maintenance issues promptly

  • Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained across the site

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in a premises, site, caretaker, or maintenance role (school-based experience desirable but not essential)

  • Basic DIY/maintenance skills and a practical, hands-on approach

  • Strong awareness of health & safety and safeguarding in a school environment

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Flexibility and reliability to support the school's needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
