Building Surveyor
Location: Northwest
Rate: £30 - 36 per hour
Contract length: 6 Months minimum
Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting for a Building Surveyor to support a large public sector organisation in the Northwest, delivering building projects across an operational estate.
You will lead and support the design, specification and project delivery of a varied programme of refurbishment and improvement works, working closely with a multi-discipline construction and property team.
Responsibilities include
- Design and specification of refurbishment work (extensions, windows, roofing, fencing, flooring and decoration)
- Project management and delivery of medium-sized building projects, on time, within budget and to required quality standards
- Supporting delivery of capital works and condition-led programmes
- Budget forecasting, risk/issues management and progress reporting
- Liaison with internal stakeholders and external clients, providing technical recommendations and advice
About you
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or significant vocational experience at a professional level
- Building design and project delivery experience, ideally within public sector / operational buildings
- Strong working knowledge of Building Regulations and planning requirements
- AutoCAD experience
- Confident managing multiple priorities and communicating with stakeholders
