As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, providing guidance, emotional regulation strategies, and positive behaviour support. • Promote and encourage positive behaviour in and out of the classroom

  • Work alongside teachers to deliver structured interventions and inclusive learning activities

  • De-escalate challenging situations calmly and effectively

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and participation

  • Contribute to creating a safe, consistent, and positive learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience working in a behaviour support role, or as a Teaching Assistant, Youth Worker, Social Worker, or similar

  • Personal experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs will also be considered

  • A resilient, calm, and proactive approach

  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to work under pressure

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Relevant training or qualifications (e.g., Team Teach, Positive Behaviour Support, CACHE Level 2/3) are desirable but not essential

Benefits

  • Term-time working: Monday to Friday, no evenings or weekends

  • Ongoing CPD and specialist training in behaviour support and intervention strategies

  • Dedicated support from a specialist education recruitment team

  • Opportunity to secure permanent school contracts

  • Competitive daily rate of £98 - £106 (subject to experience)
