Pay Rate: £16.50-£17.50 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 9:00am and 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Contract: Temporary-Permanent Contract
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Before and After School Club Manager to lead the wraparound care provision at a welcoming primary school in Chorley/Brinscall. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a stimulating, high-quality play environment within a safe and caring setting, ensuring that children enjoy positive experiences before and after the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and review engaging activities for children of primary school age.
- Lead, support, and supervise the Out of School Club team.
- Ensure the provision offers safe, fun, and inclusive opportunities for all children.
- Establish and maintain administrative, financial, and budget monitoring systems in collaboration with the Headteacher and bursar.
- Maintain positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and school staff.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted requirements.
- Promote the wellbeing, independence, and social development of all children attending the club.
Requirements:
✔ Level 3 qualification in Play work, Childcare, or equivalent (essential for staff-to-child ratio).
✔ Experience of working with, or caring for, children of relevant age groups (essential).
✔ Strong leadership and organisational skills.
✔ Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging activities.
✔ Good communication skills with children, staff, and parents.
✔ Understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
✔ Experience with administrative and financial monitoring (desirable).
