My Local Authority client in Central London is looking to appoint a talented Assistant Director of Strategy, Insight & Performance on a Contract basis.
The role will lead Strategy and Performance in particular, bringing strong, demonstrable experience in these areas.
Local Authority experience is essential
About the role:
Based in Central London (hybrid - 3 days on site):
- This is a 1-year contract.
- Be able to provide managerial oversight of Community Engagement, ensuring this work is effectively coordinated and aligned with wider priorities.
- Manage and mobilise a new team and service, including onboarding, setting direction, and quickly establishing effective ways of working.
- Operate at pace and deliver at high productivity as this is a fast-moving environment.
- Contribute directly to delivery, not just oversight - the role requires someone who is hands-on and able to produce work as well as manage others
About you:
You will have the following experiences:
- Extensive experience in Strategy, Insight, Performance and Communities.
- Deep experience in project management and transformation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, able to navigate senior Council Leaders and Elected Members.
- Local Authority experience is essential.
What's on offer:
- Salary: £700-£800 per day, inside IR35
