Rate: £50-£60 per day - Negotiable DOE
Contract Length: 3-6-month initial contract

Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a local authority in the northeast region who are in need of an experienced Adult Social Care Solicitor.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal advice, undertake advocacy, and manage a substantial caseload of complex Court of Protection proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake advocacy before courts, inquiries and tribunals as required.
• Draft a range of legal documentation, including applications, position statements, draft orders, correspondence and reports.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with members, senior officers and service leads.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with relevant experience within adult services law.

• Exposure to Court of Protection and/or Judicial Review proceedings.
• Working knowledge of:
• Care Act 2014
• Mental Capacity Act 2005
• Mental Health Act 1983
