Adult Social Care Lawyer

Rate: £50-£60 per hour - Negotiable DOE
Contract Length: 3-6-month initial contract

We are seeking an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a supportive and well-established Legal Services team in the Northwest.

This is an excellent opportunity to undertake a varied and meaningful caseload within a collaborative local authority environment, supporting vulnerable adults and advising on complex statutory duties.

The Role

You will handle a broad range of adult social care matters, including:

• Court of Protection applications and proceedings.
• Ordinary residence disputes.
• Mental Health Act queries.
• Advice on Care Act 2014 duties and assessments.
• General financial matters relating to adult services.

About You

To be considered, you will:

• Be a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of CILEX with a current practising certificate.
• Have recent experience in Adult Social Care law within a local authority.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and related public law principles.
• Be comfortable advising on complex and sensitive matters.
