ARC Senior Support Worker

We are working with clients in the Cardiff area to recruit a Senior Support Worker for an innovative new Adolescent Resource Centre (ARC) / Edge of Care Service for 11-17 year olds. The service focuses on supporting families and young people to remain living safely at home, using a strength-based, person-centred approach.

As part of a growing Regional Service, you will work within an experienced team to provide flexible and responsive care, including respite, intervention, outreach, and family support. The role involves working with young people and families across the community, at their homes, and at our centres, delivering structured, evidence-based interventions to promote positive change and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Deliver flexible, family-focused support to adolescents and their families.
• 
  Provide structured, evidence-based interventions that build problem-solving skills and resilience.
• 
  Work with families at times of crisis to prevent breakdown and escalation.
• 
  Offer supervision and mentoring to support staff within the team.
• 
  Collaborate with colleagues to develop creative solutions and achieve positive outcomes.
• 
  Work across locations in Cardiff and Vale of Glamorgan, including evenings and weekends.

Key Requirements

• 
  Diploma in Health and Social Care, or equivalent qualification in teaching, nursing, or youth work.
• 
  Experience working with adolescents and families in crisis or intensive support settings.
• 
  Proven supervisory or mentoring experience.
• 
  Strong teamwork skills with a flexible, creative approach.
• 
  Ability to deliver person-centred, strength-based support in a variety of settings.

Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: £16-£21.60
Working pattern - 37 hours per week
