We are currently working with a client in Cardiff who is seeking an experienced and motivated ARC Team Manager to lead a specialist service supporting young people We are working with a client in Cardiff seeking an experienced and motivated ARC Team Manager to lead a specialist service supporting young people aged 11-17 on the edge of care. The service uses intensive, strengths-based, trauma-informed interventions to prevent family breakdown and reduce the need for accommodation.

The ARC Team Manager will lead and develop the Adolescent Resource Centre (ARC), managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based practice. You will play a key role in service development, ensuring robust responses to adolescent needs while promoting safe, supportive family-based care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the ARC service, maintaining high standards of practice and outcomes
  • Line manage Support Workers and a Deputy Manager, and oversee sessional therapists
  • Implement evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions
  • Promote strengths-based practice to keep young people safely within their families
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development for staff
  • Collaborate with Local Authority teams and external statutory, voluntary, and independent agencies
  • Contribute to service expansion and monitor performance, quality, and safeguarding


Key Requirements

  • Relevant professional qualification in Social Work, or equivalent in Nursing, Education, Youth Work, or related field
  • Experience managing teams within children's or adolescent services
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed and strengths-based practice
  • Experience supporting young people on the edge of care and their families
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and partnership-working skills
  • Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for young people and families


Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
Pay Rate: £23.00-£30.00
Working pattern - 37 hours per week
