Alternative Provision Tutor - Blackburn
Hourly Rate: £30-£35 per hour
Location: Blackburn and surrounding areas

Spencer Clarke Tutors are seeking committed and compassionate Alternative Provision Tutors to support pupils across Blackburn who are currently unable to attend mainstream school. Tuition is delivered either in the pupil's home or within an appropriate community setting, depending on individual needs.
About the Role
You will provide bespoke 1:1 or small‑group tuition to learners who may present with SEND, SEMH needs, or who require short‑term alternative provision. Your role is to re‑engage learners, build confidence, and support academic progress through personalised learning plans.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children in alternative provision or with additional needs
- QTS desirable, but not essential
- Skilled in building rapport and managing varying behaviours
- A nurturing, patient, and learner‑focused approach
- Ability to plan and deliver individualised lessons
- DBS on the Update Service (essential)
- Flexibility to work during school hours
