Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Allocations Officer for a Local Authority Client in Berkshire.
In this role you will assess housing applications and allocate social housing fairly and in line with legislation and Council policy.
Duties:
- Experience working in a housing allocations, housing needs, or homelessness service
- Experience assessing complex applications and making eligibility decisions using legislation and policy
- Experience working with vulnerable customers in a high-pressure, target-driven environment
- Experience using housing management systems and maintaining accurate, sensitive case records
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience in housing allocations, housing register management, or homelessness services
- Experience assessing eligibility and applying housing legislation and local authority policy
- Experience working with vulnerable customers in a busy, high-pressure customer service environment
- Experience maintaining accurate case records and using housing management IT systems and databases
What's on offer:
Salary: £19ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
