Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Allocations Officer for a Local Authority Client in Berkshire.

In this role, you will assess housing applications, allocate social housing, and support residents to secure safe and sustainable homes.

Duties:

  • Assess housing register applications and determine eligibility and priority.
  • Allocate social housing in line with Council policy and legislation.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage housing system data.
  • Support residents, including vulnerable households, through home visits and guidance.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Experience working with vulnerable customers in a pressurised environment.
  • Experience handling confidential information and applying policies accurately.
  • Experience using computerised systems to manage data and records.
  • Experience collaborating with internal teams and external agencies.

What's on offer:

Salary: £25ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
