Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Allocations and Lettings Officer for a Local Authority Client in Ilford.
In this role, you will allocate and let council and partner homes, provide housing advice, and support vulnerable residents to secure safe and suitable accommodation.
Duties:
- Allocate permanent and temporary housing in line with policies and legislation.
- Verify applicant eligibility, suitability, and conduct necessary interviews or home visits.
- Provide clear, practical housing advice to applicants and support customers with complex needs.
- Maintain accurate records and manage housing systems to ensure efficient lettings and placements.
Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:
- Experience working with vulnerable customers in housing or homelessness services.
- Experience managing allocations, lettings, or housing placement processes
- Experience handling challenging situations and providing customer-focused solutions
- Experience maintaining accurate records and working to performance targets.
What's on offer:
Salary: £28ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
