About the Role
We are currently working with a supportive primary school in Preston seeking an experienced ANTA (Additional Needs Teaching Assistant) to provide targeted support for pupils with SEND.
This is a long-term opportunity for a skilled and confident support professional who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and thrive within a mainstream school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning delays
Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning
Adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies and support plans
Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour throughout the school day
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ANTA, or SEN Support Assistant
Strong knowledge of SEND support strategies
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Confidence supporting children who may present with challenging behaviour
A proactive, team-focused attitude and strong communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
