Accommodation Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Accommodation Officer for a Local Authority Client in Middlesex.

In this role, you will manage temporary accommodation for homeless households, ensuring safe, well-maintained properties while supporting residents to sustain their tenancies and access housing options.

Duties:

• Manage and maintain temporary accommodation, oversee properties, repairs, voids, tenancy management, and landlord liaison.
• Support and monitor residents, provide advice, welfare guidance, safeguarding, and tenancy sustainment.
• Ensure compliance and safety, carry out inspections, enforce tenancy agreements, and maintain health & safety standards.
• Coordinate and collaborate, work with internal teams, external agencies, and suppliers to deliver effective housing services.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Frontline housing experience, assessing housing needs, managing complex casework, and supporting tenants.
• Tenancy and property management, dealing with repairs, anti-social behaviour, and tenancy/licence breaches.
• Customer service and communication, providing clear advice, resolving disputes, and maintaining professional relationships.
• Collaboration and stakeholder engagement, working with internal teams, external agencies, landlords, and service providers.

What's on offer:

Salary: £22ph

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
