We are seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils in primary schools across Lancaster. This role involves working closely with individual children, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
Experience supporting children with SEN and/or SEMH needs is essential. You should be patient, adaptable, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) is desirable but not required.
Both full-time and part-time positions are available, offering flexibility to suit your availability.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support in the classroom
- Assist with learning activities and emotional regulation
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs
- Promote a safe, supportive, and engaging environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience with SEN/SEMH children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, proactive, and empathetic approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
